Galveston County

Be it hereby Known that I Mary Ann Morgan of the State of Louisiana Carroll Parish for the consideration of Nine Hundred & twenty four Dollars to me in hand paid by [illegible] Maas, have transferred sold and carryed to said Isabella Maas her heirs and Assigns forever A negro woman called Ann abt 19 years of age and her child 9 months old called Harmon. The said negro woman, slave for life, having been Sold and transferred to me thru said M. A. Morgan by C. P. Winkler & Co. Merchants of the town of Providence (Louis:) as will appear by Deed of Sale dated 12 June 1854 and recorded same date

To Have and hold all the aforesaid property to her thru said Isabella Maas her heirs or Assigns forever peacably and uncontesteddidly. And I thru said Mary Ann Morgan , my heirs and assigns, in conjunction with my husband David L. Morgan. To the said Isabella Maas her heirs and assigns do hereby jointly warrent and defend the title and right to said negro woman Ann and child, against the claims of all persons whatsoever , also warranting said woman and child free of any incumbrance and perfectly sound free from all the vices and
