In Testimony which, we the said Mary Ann Morgan, and husband David L Morgan have hereunto put our hands and affixed our [illegible] [illegible] seals at Galveston this 5th day of May 1855

State of Texas,
County of Galveston.
Before me, ALFRED F. JAMES a Notary Public in and for the County of Galveston, this day personally name Mary A. Morgan wife of D. L. Morgan and having been by me examined privily and apart from her said husband, and having the annexed Instrument of Writing fully explained to her, she acknowledged the same to be her act and deed, and declared that she had willingly signed, sealed and delivered the same, and that she wished not to retract it. And afterwards, to wit: on the same day, personally came D. L. Morgan husband of Mary A. Morgan who acknowledged that he signed, sealed and delivered the said Instrument of Writing as aforesaid as his voluntary act and deed for the consideration and purpose therein named.
In faith Whereof, I grant these presents under my Signature and impress of my Official Seal, at the City of Galveston, this fifth day of May A,D, 1855
